ZRMK Laboratory

At the ZRMK Laboratory, we conduct construction material investigation and testing in the following areas:

• concretes, binders and mortars;
• soils and aggregates;
• asphalts and bitumens.

The laboratory represents an internal unit of the ZRMK BCEI in which we perform investigations in support of the activities of the other expert centres. We perform laboratory-based and field investigations for the purposes of construction supervision, quality control and for condition assessment of existing buildings and engineering objects. In addition to the testing of samples, we also perform non-destructive field investigations in order to determine the level of damage to a structure and identify its causes. We use calibrated testing equipment in our work, taking care to maintain a high level of testing result quality, as attested by our accreditation, received in accordance with the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard for the procedures from the (LP-096) list.
