The Centre for Traffic Routes engages in research and development, investigations and measurements, studies, analyses and expert opinions, project design, technical and technological consulting, construction supervision and quality control, maintenance and restoration of traffic and municipal infrastructure.
We independently create or participate in the creation of technical bases for the preparation of strategic traffic infrastructure development plans, perform research and development tasks and expert opinions aiming to improve construction quality and economy and increase its longevity and increase the safety and usability of existing traffic infrastructure and decrease its negative effects on the environment and energy use.
We're actively participating in the construction of the Slovenian motorway network: we're performing external quality control of the earthworks, pavement structures, asphalt works, cement concretes and waterproofing for DARS d.d. Regarding the national and municipal roads – in addition to the external quality control of the work performed, we also perform construction supervision for the investor, i.e. an internal quality control, along with expert consulting for the contractor.
At the moment, the centre employs 9 associates in total: one doctor of chemical science, two university graduate civil engineers, one university graduate chemical engineer, two graduate civil engineers, one civil engineer and two construction technicians.
