We have considerable experience in the renovation of objects under monument protection programs and the design and execution of earthquake protection for older buildings.

- Geotechnics and GeologyGeotechnics and GeologyThe Centre for Geotechnics and Geology conducts research and development, expert analyses and opinions and provides technical and technological consulting.We participate in large, demanding projects, such as construction of infrastructure objects: railroads, roads and hydro-technical objects; in new residential and industrial developments and in individual business, residential or engineering objects.
- Traffic Routes and infrastructureTraffic Routes and infrastructureWe deal with investigations and measurements, studies, analyses and expert opinions, project designs, technical and technological consulting and construction supervision, etc.We independently create or participate in the creation of technical bases for the preparation of strategic traffic infrastructure development plans, perform research and development tasks and expert opinions aiming to improve construction quality and economy and increase its longevity and increase the safety and usability of existing traffic infrastructure and decrease its negative effects on the environment and energy use.
- Technological CentreTechnological CentreThe ZRMK Technological Centre is an infrastructural development centre – industry-wide technological centre in the field of construction.It is organised as an autonomous unit of the ZRMK Building and Civil Engineering Institute where research and development tasks are carried out on a project basis. All the ZRMK BCEI researchers and associates may participate in the tasks, as necessary.
- LaboratoryLaboratoryAt the ZRMK Laboratory, we conduct construction material investigation and testing.We perform laboratory-based and field investigations for the purposes of construction supervision, quality control and for condition assessment of existing buildings and engineering objects.

Projects Carried Out
Some of the largest projects carried out in recent years:
ROADS and AIRPORTS
- external and internal quality control for the main and regional roads in the Republic of Slovenia (DRSC, DDC, ...),
- external quality control on motorway sections in the Republic of Slovenia,
- construction supervision on main, regional and local roads in the Republic of Slovenia,
- dimensioning the pavement structures with the help of field measurements and laboratory tests, forming an expert opinion on road blocks on main and regional roads in the Republic of Slovenia,
- road monitoring and object inspections in the area of HPP Blanca, HPP Krško, Brod and the Malečnik tunnel (Infra, GPG, DARS),
- road condition inspection and a restoration proposal for the damage caused by the flooding in Železniki (MOP),
- expert opinion on the runway condition at the Jože Pučnik Airport (MZP).

- performing test control and monitoring in the construction of a water barrier at HPP Boštanj in the Kompolje settlement (Infra),
- construction supervision at the Malečnik M1 gas pipeline (Geoplin),
- supervision of the reconstruction of mazut reservoirs, 1st and 2nd phase (Energetika Ljubljana).
